Add AI when you're ready

Capsule works great on its own. Add SimpleAI to unlock a research assistant that actually knows your notes.

Ask your research:

"Summarize everything I've collected about renewable energy policy"
"What are the main themes across my Chapter 3 notes?"
"Generate an outline based on my research"
"Find contradictions between these sources"
"What have I saved about market sizing?"

SimpleAI is optional ($49 add-on). Use Ollama for 100% local AI—your research never leaves your computer.

Why I built this

I kept losing things. Not files—ideas. I'd read something great, save it somewhere "safe," and never find it again. It was scattered across browser bookmarks, random docs, note apps, even screenshots.

Every tool I tried was either too complicated (I don't need a second brain, I need a filing cabinet that works) or too simple (plain text files don't cut it for research).

Capsule is what I wanted: one place to capture, organize, and actually find my research. Local-first, because my half-baked ideas don't belong on someone else's server.
