The Short Version
Buy a license, use the software. Don't resell it or use it for illegal stuff. We provide the software as-is and aren't liable if something goes wrong. Be reasonable, and we will too.
Agreement
By purchasing or using ScopeGuard software, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the software.
Who We Are
ScopeGuard is a product of Emmaus Development LLC, based in Oklahoma, USA.
License Grant
When you purchase ScopeGuard, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:
- Use the software on any devices you personally own or control
- Store and process your own business data
- Export your data at any time in standard formats
What You Can Do
- Use the software for personal or commercial purposes
- Install on multiple devices you own (desktop, laptop)
- Make backups of the software for your own use
What You Cannot Do
- Resell, redistribute, or sublicense the software
- Share your license with others
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software
- Remove copyright notices or branding
- Use the software for illegal purposes
- Claim you created the software
Updates
License purchases include free minor updates. Major new versions may require a separate purchase, though we typically offer upgrade discounts to existing customers.
Support
We provide email support for licensed customers. We'll do our best to help, but we don't guarantee response times or resolution of all issues. Priority support and hands-on help can be arranged separately.
Your Data
You own your data. We don't claim any rights to information you create or store using ScopeGuard. You're responsible for backing up your data—we recommend using the built-in export feature regularly.
Warranty Disclaimer
ScopeGuard software is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We don't warrant that the software will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for any particular purpose.
Some jurisdictions don't allow warranty disclaimers, so this may not apply to you.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Emmaus Development LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of ScopeGuard software.
Our total liability for any claim related to the software is limited to the amount you paid for the license.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Emmaus Development LLC from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the software or violation of these terms.
Termination
We may terminate your license if you violate these terms. If terminated, you must stop using the software and delete all copies. Termination doesn't entitle you to a refund (see our Refund Policy for refund terms).
Changes to Terms
We may update these terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. For significant changes, we'll notify customers by email. Changes don't apply retroactively to existing licenses.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oklahoma, USA. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Oklahoma.
Severability
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
Entire Agreement
These terms, along with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Emmaus Development LLC regarding ScopeGuard software.
