What Data We Collect
When You Use ScopeGuard
None. ScopeGuard stores all data locally on your device using your browser's IndexedDB storage. We have no servers receiving your data. We cannot see your projects, clients, invoices, or any other information you enter.
When You Buy a License
We collect:
- Email address (to deliver your download link)
- Payment information (processed by Stripe—we don't store card numbers)
- Name (if you provide it)
That's it. We don't track what features you use, how often you open the app, or anything else.
When You Visit Our Website
We use basic server logs that may include your IP address and browser type. We don't use tracking cookies, analytics scripts, or advertising pixels. We don't use Google Analytics or similar services.
What We Do With Your Data
- License delivery: We email you your download link.
- Support: If you email us, we use your email to respond.
We don't sell, rent, or share your information with anyone. We don't send marketing emails unless you explicitly opt in.
Data Storage & Security
Local Data
Your app data is stored on your device. Security is your responsibility—we recommend regular backups using the built-in export feature.
Payment Data
Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full credit card number. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
Your Rights
You can:
- Export your data anytime using the built-in export feature (JSON format)
- Delete your data by clearing it from the app or clearing your browser storage
- Request account deletion by emailing us (for purchase records)
Since we don't collect much data in the first place, there's not much to request or delete.
Cookies
Our website uses only essential cookies required for basic functionality. We don't use tracking cookies or third-party cookies.
Children's Privacy
ScopeGuard is business software intended for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For significant changes, we'll notify customers by email.
